Wincanton Racecourse is situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside and offers an excellent programme of quality jump racing. Winner of “Best Small Racecourse in the South West", Wincanton is renowned for its friendly atmosphere attracting big crowds and some of the best National Hunt horses in the country.
There are three enclosures from which to watch the racing. The Premier enclosure offers excellent views of the course, a choice of bars and restaurants including the “See More Business” bar. Visitors to the Premier enclosure have access to all areas of the course including the parade ring, winner’s enclosure and viewing area. The Grandstand enclosure allows access to the parade ring as well as offering a range of food and drink outlets. From the Course enclosure there are views from all the stands and lawns and it is also a favourite spot for race-goers to picnic.
The Racecourse is off the B3081 between Wincanton
The nearest station is Templecombe, which is four miles south of Wincanton. There is a raceday courtesy bus service that meets the train from Waterloo before racing and returns racegoers to the station after racing
